November 2021 Classics Auction

  Lot 41

2006 Vauxhall Tigra Exclusiv
Only 33,000 miles *** NO RESERVE ***

Registration - DE56 NNJ

Chassis No. - WOLOXCR976E020454

M.O.T. - January 2022

Odometer - 33,400

Finished in black and trimmed in black leather, this sporty little two-seater has had just three owners from new, who have apparently covered no more than 33,400 miles between them. The vendor presently regards the Tigra’s 1.4-litre engine, five-speed manual gearbox, coupe convertible bodywork, paintwork and upholstery as all being in ‘excellent’ order and adds that the opening roof ‘works perfectly’. The sale car’s up-market specification includes alloy wheels, air-conditioning, electrically-operated windows and mirrors, special radio/CD with remote controller, leather sports seats, rear parking sensors etc. ‘DE56 NNJ’ is now being sold at ‘No Reserve’ complete with full service records, invoices for work carried out, and a current MOT valid to January 19 next year.

Built on the platform of the second generation Corsa, Vauxhall’s first Tigra-badged offering was a two-door coupe that reigned from 1994 to 2001. Then, following a three-year hiatus, the company resurrected the name for an all new model based on the third generation Corsa. Launched at the 2004 Geneva Salon, the newcomer was a two-seater coupe convertible with a retractable hardtop in the vein of the Peugeot 206 CC. It was available with a choice of petrol engines of either 1.4 or 1.8-litres. Manufactured on Vauxhall’s behalf by the French coachbuilder Heuliez, the model continued in production until 2009, by which time some 90,874 had been sold under either the Vauxhall or related Opel banner.

In summary:

  • Just three owners and 33,400 miles from new
  • Comprehensive specification includes air-conditioning, windstop, and remote control radio
  • Accompanied by full service records and a current MOT
