Only 26,000 miles, presented in rare Tour De France Blue

Here we have a notably smart F355 that was first registered in February 1999 and has covered just 27,000 warranted miles for new. It is resplendent in the rare combination of Tour de France Blue and Crema hide interior trim, and accompanied by a full service history with stamps from Graypaul, Maranello, H R Owen, Grimaldi, Stratstone and JMH. The latest engine-out service was carried out as recently as August last year at a cost in the region of £7,000, and included the replacement of the engine belts, cambelt tensioners, engine mounts, water pump, oil and fuel filters, brake fluid, spark plugs, reverse gear lever assembly, gear display unit, alarm and siren. In the vendor’s view the prancing horse’s V8 engine, six-speed automated manual gearbox, electrical system, two-seater bodywork, paintwork and sumptuous upholstery are all in ‘excellent’ condition. In fact, he goes further and describes the bodywork and paintwork as ‘unmarked’, and the alloy wheels as being ‘absent of scuffs’ and shod with ‘nearly new’ Pirelli tyres. He is now seeking a new home for this lovely motorcar and therefore offering it complete with a Sony CD/radio, sizeable history file and current MOT valid to May 15 next year.
Ferrari’s much vaunted F355 was a development of the mid-engined 348 and was ultimately made in the three guises of Berlinetta (Coupe), like the sale car, GTS (Targa Top) and Spider. The notable difference between the engines of the 348 and 355 concerned the cylinder head, with those of the later car having five-valves-per-cylinder for superior induction. This helped raise the output to a substantial 375bhp.
