This grey-coloured 1600cc Laser was first registered in December 1984 and currently displays what is believed to be a genuine 79,989 miles from new. It would benefit from a respray and some light recommissioning, but comes complete with four-spoke alloy wheels, factory-fitted sunroof, desirable Recaro seats, leather-covered steering wheel and gear lever, and an electrically operated radio aerial.
From November 1984 onwards Capri sales were limited to the UK only, with normally aspirated 1600 and 2000cc versions rebranded as Lasers. Production of Europe’s unexpectedly successful version of the American ‘pony car’ finally ceased in December 1986.
