An Auction of Classic and Performance Cars and Motorcycles

  Lot 48

2006 Ford StreetKa Winter Edition
*** NO RESERVE ***

Registration - KP06 WNH

Chassis No. - WF0LXXLURL5P33795

M.O.T. - No M.O.T.

Odometer - 41,000

StreetKas are a rare sight on our roads and tend to bring a smile to the face when seen. The example on offer has had a total of six keepers since being first registered in March 2006. Its silver bodywork is teamed with black leather interior trim and a colour-keyed hardtop. The vendor, who’s owned ‘KP06 WNH’ for the last four years, currently considers its engine and five-speed manual gearbox to be in ‘excellent’ order, and grades the bodywork, paintwork and upholstery as ‘good’. He is now offering the little all-season Ford complete with Sony radio/CD player and a pair of keys.

Ford’s first generation Ka was marketed as a city-car from 1996 to 2016. It was based on the MKIII Fiesta platform but featured a completely different three-door hatchback body. The design proved to be controversial at launch, but the little car’s excellent dynamics soon won the UK public round, and it became the best-selling model in its class for a number of years, and in doing so cornered around a fifth of the competitive city-car market. It was in 2003 that the Ka brand was diversified by the addition of the SportKa, which featured a sport bodykit, wider track and stiffened suspension, and a Pininfarina-penned convertible model dubbed the StreetKa. That was launched at the Paris Salon with the help of pop princess Kylie Minogue, and featured a manually folding soft top, plus the option of a so-called Winter Edition complete with detachable hard top. Both versions were powered by a new 1.6-litre version of the company’s Duratec engine, the output of which was 94bhp.

In summary:

  • Comes complete with both soft and hard tops
  • A tidy six-keeper, 41,000-mile example
  • Being sold at No Reserve
