Finished in white with contrasting grey cloth interior, this LX Estate presents as a remarkably well preserved and increasingly rare example of Ford’s dependable family workhorse. The bodywork appears notably straight, retaining its factory specification trim, wheel covers and period detailing. Inside, the cabin is clean and highly original in character, with minimal wear consistent with the odometer reading of 28,546 miles, although this figure cannot be warranted.
Under the bonnet sits the 1.8 litre diesel engine, long regarded for its durability and economy. The engine bay presents in honest order and the car is supplied with a collection of previous M.O.T certificates which may assist in substantiating the recorded mileage. We are advised there are only three former keepers. With M.O.T valid until February 2027, this example offers immediate usability together with considerable nostalgic appeal.
Launched in 1982 and refined through later updates, the Sierra Estate became a staple of British roads, valued for practicality, comfort and robust mechanicals. Surviving unmodified examples are now increasingly scarce, particularly in honest LX specification.
• Showing 28,546 miles, unwarranted • Only three former keepers • Offered without reserve
