Lot 50

1985 Ford Escort RS Turbo
Early and highly original ‘B’-plate example presented in superb condition with excellent provenance

Registration – B199 DGP

Chassis No. – WF0BXXGCABFJ32842

M.O.T. – April 2026

Odometer – 111,525

An early and highly sought-after ‘B’-plate RS Turbo, presented in its original White and in exceptional overall condition. Supplied new by F.H. Peacock Ltd of Balham, London, this superb example retains a remarkable degree of originality and is accompanied by an extensive history file, including the original Ford book pack, stamped service record, owner’s handbook, and numerous invoices dating back to the early 1990s. The service book shows a continuous record of maintenance up to 77,735 miles, carried out by Ford main dealers and specialists.

The car presents beautifully, with clean, straight bodywork and the correct blue RS graphics. It retains its signature factory features such as the Recaro sports seats with blue piping, twin driving lamps, and factory body kit. The engine bay is clean and well detailed, housing the original 1.6-litre CVH turbo engine with its distinctive blue cam cover and intercooler arrangement.

Launched in 1984, the RS Turbo was the performance flagship of the Escort range, offering 132bhp, a limited-slip differential, and razor-sharp handling. The early ‘B’-registered cars are especially sought after for their purity and connection to Ford’s rallying heritage. Increasingly hard to find in such honest and original condition, this example offers a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic hot hatches of the 1980s.

  • Early and desirable ‘B’-plate RS Turbo presented in outstanding condition

  • Supplied with original Ford book pack, stamped service history, and supporting invoices

  • M.O.T. valid until April 2026
