Built in 2000 and showing just 1,427 miles, this Southern Roadcraft SRV8 is a superbly presented and low-use example of the ever-popular Cobra recreation. The vendor informs us it drives exceptionally well and would make a fine addition to any private collection or enthusiast’s garage.
Power is provided by the revered 5.7-litre Ford Windsor V8, as found in period Mach 1 Mustangs and F-series pickups, and has covered a mere 2,000 miles since installation. Performance is estimated between 300–330bhp, with strong torque delivery and a power band that rewards smooth, progressive driving. The engine revs cleanly and sounds the part, happily working through the gears at around 4,600rpm, offering a character that contrasts the higher-revving 289 units.
