Tiger Racing were formed in 1989 and specialised in producing kit cars based on the iconic Lotus Seven style. ‘Q580 BRB’ is a pristine looking, very lightly used example of this rare breed. ‘Q580 BRB’ has been enjoyed by two former owners, both members of the same family. The current owner acquired ‘Q580 BRB’ in October 2015 with around 4,500 miles covered at that stage. Today the odometer reads 6,703 miles, underscoring what a lightly used example it truly is. Offered with NO RESERVE, ‘Q580 BRB’ has been regularly serviced in its current ownership and has been MOT’d annually since 2015. The current MOT is valid until June 2025. Offered today with full sets of keys and a bulging A4 file of provenance providing paperwork, ‘Q580 BRB’ offers a great value alternative to some other, better known Lotus Seven style offerings.
‘Q580 BRB’ presents in gleaming metallic blue paintwork punctuated with accents of deep chrome and polished alloy protective panels to the leading face of the wide rear wheel arches. The brightly polished, side mounted exhaust pipe, thick tubular rollover hoop and big chrome backed headlamps combine to emphasise the sports orientated nature of this rare beast. A pristine looking set of 15-inch, Wolfrace Eurosport, seven-spoke alloy wheels are fitted, shod with a set of quality tyres. The external condition looks hard to fault.
The cabin is the sort of snug and minimal environment that you might expect for such a performance focused machine. The black padded dashboard fascia is awash with gauges and switches. A Tiger speedometer and fuel gauge are accompanied by a quality set of four VDO items. A deeply dished steering wheel is present with an Alcantara finished rim and an anodised gold boss. The footwells are finished with chequer plate and a racing fire extinguisher is fitted. A lidded and carpeted luggage compartment is present, however, as is a black vinyl hood.
Propulsive energy is provided by a 2-litre Ford derived engine fitted with big, twin Dell ’Orto carburettors and four, individual high-flow conical foam filters.
In summary:
· A very lightly used example of this performance orientated model
· Looks fantastic in its bright blue livery with pristine Wolfrace wheels
· Complete with a full A4 file of accompanying paperwork and invoices
