The Hampson Auction

Lot 59

1990 Nissan 300 ZX 2+2
***NO RESERVE*** Striking JDM-inspired example with manual gearbox and recent timing belt replacement

Registration – G659 UDH

Chassis No. – JN10HGZ31U0031075

M.O.T. – August 2026

Odometer – 89,910

Presented in striking candy red with bold Japanese-inspired livery, this manual example offers a distinctive take on a classic Z-car, blending period character with modern tuner styling. The custom wrap and decals give the car real presence, complemented by a purposeful stance, aftermarket alloy wheels and a bespoke body kit incorporating front bumper, side skirts and rear spoiler.

The vendor informs us that this example has covered circa 89,910 miles and has been enthusiast owned, having been treated more as a showpiece in recent months than a regularly driven vehicle. Powered by the 3.0 litre V6 engine and paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, the car is reported to start readily, run smoothly and pull well through the gears. Reassuringly, a timing belt kit was fitted in June 2025. A custom exhaust system has also been installed, providing a deeper, more sporting tone in keeping with its character.

Externally, the car presents well overall, with the wrap showing only minor blemishes consistent with use. It sits on Buddy Club alloy wheels finished in satin black with a red lip, with spacers fitted to improve stance, while the original factory wheels are included in the sale. The tyres are described as having covered minimal mileage and remain in excellent condition. The removable roof panels are present and in very good order, adding to the car’s versatility.

Inside, the original velour seats are in very good condition with only light age-related wear. The dashboard is reported to be free from cracks, and the cabin retains its period-correct layout, complete with auxiliary gauges. The vendor advises that the speedometer cable has recently failed, with a replacement on order prior to the sale. Additional items in the boot include the original roof panel storage bags and ancillary equipment.

Introduced as part of Nissan’s long-running Z-car lineage, the model built upon the success of its predecessors by offering refined grand touring ability alongside engaging rear-wheel-drive dynamics. The naturally aspirated V6 delivers smooth and progressive performance, making it a capable and enjoyable classic that continues to grow in enthusiast appeal.
