The third-generation Range Rover, known internally as the L322, represented a considerable leap forward for the marque. Combining the traditional Range Rover virtues of genuine off-road capability and a commanding driving position with substantially greater refinement and luxury, it established the template that subsequent generations would follow.
‘DM02 RRR’ is a 2004 example in desirable Vogue specification, powered by the smooth 4.4-litre V8 and further distinguished as a clear-glass example, giving the vehicle a particularly clean and traditional appearance.
The naturally aspirated 4.4-litre V8 is exceptionally well suited to the character of the L322, providing effortless performance through its automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel-drive system. These early V8 models are becoming increasingly appreciated by enthusiasts for their combination of substantial engineering, understated styling and traditional Range Rover character.
Vogue specification placed the model towards the top of the Range Rover hierarchy, providing the luxurious cabin and generous equipment expected of the marque's flagship. More than two decades later, the L322 remains an imposing and remarkably contemporary-looking motor car.
