When Harley-Davidson launched the FXDB Street Bob in 2006, it was intended as a modern evocation of the stripped-down, no-frills “bobbers” that returning American servicemen had created in the post-war years. Built on the Dyna platform with its exposed twin rear shocks and rubber-mounted Big Twin, the Street Bob offered riders a factory machine that looked like a home-built custom. With mini-ape handlebars, a solo seat, chopped fenders, and blacked-out detailing, it quickly gained a reputation as one of the purest expressions of Harley’s styling ethos.

This 2007 example sits at a desirable point in the model’s development, being among the first to feature Harley’s 96 cubic-inch (1,584cc) Twin Cam engine, paired with the robust 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission. The combination delivered improved torque, flexibility, and relaxed high-speed cruising, making the Street Bob as competent on long stretches of open road as it was threading through city streets.

Showing 30,000 miles from new, this machine has been consistently maintained, supported by a full service history, which is something of a rarity for a bike of this nature. It has had just three recorded owners, each evidently attentive to its care and upkeep. The result is a motorcycle that presents as both mechanically strong and visually appealing.

Enhancements have been made that complement rather than detract from the model’s character. Chief among these are an upgraded LED headlight unit, neatly integrated into a performance-style black fairing, improving both visibility and road presence. The exhaust has been replaced with a set of Firestorm straight pipes, unleashing a deeper, more aggressive soundtrack that perfectly suits the Street Bob’s rebellious image. Practical additions include a pair of leather fork and rear pannier bags, while a tall sissy bar at the rear completes the classic West Coast silhouette.

With the Dyna line now discontinued – Harley having merged the range into the modern Softail family from 2018 – original examples such as this FXDB are becoming increasingly sought-after. They represent the last of the truly raw, rubber-mounted Harley cruisers, and they enjoy a loyal following among collectors and riders alike. This particular machine, offered with its service history, known mileage, and tasteful upgrades, is an excellent opportunity to acquire a well-sorted example of one of Harley-Davidson’s most characterful modern classics.

In Summary:

  • Full Service History bike
  • Only 3 owners from new
  • Will need an MOT as the last one was done in 2024 (stored since)
