Registered in 1980, this example represents a rare and historically significant Ford Escort XR3, understood to be one of the original press and pre-production cars used during the model’s launch period. Such vehicles were instrumental in introducing the XR range to the motoring press, marking the beginning of what would become one of Ford’s most iconic performance line-ups.

Presented in barn find condition, the car offers an exciting opportunity for restoration, retaining its factory styling and early production characteristics. Extended viewing will be available for five days prior to the auction, with the sale conducted live at 12 noon on Sunday 26th April 2026.
