  Lot 64

2020 Aermacchi Harley Davidson 125 Evocation
Only 15km from new. Hand built in Italy to a superb standard. Never raced, only tested.

Odometer - 15 km

This extraordinary replica of a late ‘60s Aermacchi racer was hand built in Treviso, Italy in 2020 by a skilled craftsman from the period. It was constructed using as many new old stock parts as possible and arguably built to a higher standard than the original motorcycles. The investment was in excess of 10,000 Euros and the vendor not surprisingly regards the 125cc engine, six-speed transmission, frame and cycle parts to all be in ‘excellent order’, and informs us that the performance is ‘stunning’. The machine qualifies for classic racing, was serviced and tested very recently, and confirmed to be fully working and ready to go. To date it has travelled just 15 kilometres since the build was completed!

Best known as an Italian aircraft manufacturer, Aermacchi was formed in 1912 by Giulio Macchi. The company’s involvement in motorcycles began in 1951, and was sufficiently successful to result in an eventual takeover by Harley Davidson. The company’s racing endeavours produced some Grand Prix wins and four world championships in the 250 and 350 classes.
