This elegant 1958 MGA 1500 Coupe is the subject of a comprehensive nut and bolt restoration, proudly bearing the plaque of respected Cape Town restorer Tom Maben. The vendor informs us the car was originally supplied new in South Africa and subsequently made its way to the UK, where it has enjoyed continued care and attention.
Finished in the ever-popular Old English White—originally Orient Red—with a fully retrimmed red leather interior, this car presents beautifully throughout. According to the accompanying Heritage Certificate, the MGA left the factory with a desirable specification that included disc brakes, an adjustable steering column, windscreen washers, twin horns, and 6PLY tyres. The vendor also confirms that recent maintenance includes an engine oil and filter change, gearbox and differential oil replacement, new spark plugs, and a new battery.
