1985 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign 4.2

Being sold due to the loss of a garaging facility, this very original-looking c.116,000 mile red XJ6 has had plenty of attention in recent times – ie a new electric aerial (2021); new brake master cylinder (2020) and transmission rebuilt and new tyres (2019). The vendor volunteers that there is an engine misfire ‘that’s probably due to the Jaguar standing for a long period under the previous ownership’ – a contaminated fuel tank is the suspected cause. He currently regards the automatic gearbox as ‘excellent’, the 4.2-litre XK engine and Oatmeal-coloured leather trim as ‘good’ and the bodywork and paintwork as ‘average’. He is now offering the Sovereign at No Reserve, complete with Moto-Lita woodrim steering wheel and workshop manual.
