Spring 2021 Classics & Collectables Auction

  Lot 69

1990 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V

Chassis No. - ZLA831AB000509022

Registration - G647 UMW

M.O.T. - July 2021

Odometer – 157,000

As motorsport fans will be acutely aware, the Integrale is one of the most successful rally cars ever, winning the World Rally Championship on no less than six consecutive occasions. Road-going versions are also a force to be reckoned with and remain on the shortlist of many a performance driver. This exciting Martini-liveried example has seen very little use since being treated to ‘a no expense spared nut and bolt refurbishment’, during which: the engine was rebuilt with Wossner forged pistons and triple cut valve seats; the turbo overhauled and fitted with low friction bearings etc by Owen Developments; and the intercooler remounted for superior cooling. The original clutch was replaced by an uprated V6 Alfa Romeo unit capable of handling up to 450bhp. The brakes nowadays benefit from Tarox discs and pads all round, while the Lancia rides on OZ alloys shod with barely worn Toyo Proxes tyres. The adjustable rear spoiler is a genuine Evo item, as is the bonnet. The once grey bodywork is now white, and the headlining and parcel shelf are among the parts replaced as part of the overall restoration.

‘G647 UMW’ currently displays some 157,000km (c.98,125 miles) from new, and is being offered complete with grey/blue patterned cloth covered Recaro seats, Momo leather-rimmed steering wheel, contrasting overmats, lots of receipts and an MOT valid until July 24. The vendor informs us that the car ‘drives beautifully and pulls well in every gear’. It apparently exhibits a slight low-speed whine from the differential, but is otherwise set to impress as only an Integrale can.

In summary:

  • Little used since being treated to a nut and bolt rebuild
  • The exciting specification includes genuine OZ wheels, Evo spoiler and bonnet, Recaro seats and Momo steering wheel
  • Eye-catching Martini livery
