An Auction of Classic and Performance Cars and Motorcycles

  Lot 72

2002 Ford Mustang SN95 New Edge
*** NO RESERVE ***

Registration - KW52 YVF

Chassis No. - 1FAFP4440YF167323

M.O.T. - August 2023

Odometer - TBC

‘KW52 YVF’ was first UK registered in February 2019, having started life in Japan. The vendor is a self-confessed Mustang enthusiast who acquired the car from its first UK keeper in September 2021. She informs us that the power-operated black mohair hood is new and ‘works very well’, and that the brakes have also been replaced, and both the headlights and stereo upgraded. The silver bodywork is teamed with grey cloth interior trim and the pony car rides on a set of black-painted, 10-spoke alloy wheels. It certainly presents well and is very clean underneath, and in summary the vendor considers the V6 engine and automatic transmission to be in ‘excellent’ order, and classes the convertible bodywork and paintwork as ‘good’, and the interior trim as ‘average to good’. She is now seeking a new home for her pride and joy, which comes complete with tonneau cover, JVC radio/CD, Mustang logoed carpet mats, two sets of keys, and lots of Japanese history.

The design of the SN95 Mustang was updated for the 1999 model year. Christened ‘New Edge’, the styling featured sharper contours, larger wheel arches and bodywork creases in place of some of the soft lines of the previous iteration. The base engine for the newcomer was the proven 3.8-litre version of Ford’s Essex V6 powerplant. The replacement of the previous single-port induction system with a split-port one increased the power output to 190bhp.

In summary:

  • A very well-presented lefthand drive Japanese import
  • Equipped with new power hood and new brakes
  • Features upgraded headlights and stereo, and comes with tonneau
