1996 Ford Fiesta Classic

Now here’s a little gem – a genuine 18,150-mile Fiesta that’s had just five owners in 26 years. Finished in white, trimmed in grey cloth and riding on black painted steel wheels, it even boasts the registration plates and rear window sticker of the supplying dealer – City Ford of Ely, Cambridgeshire. The vendor describes the interior as ‘exceptional’, the engine and five-speed manual transmission as ‘excellent’, and the three-door bodywork and paintwork as ‘good’. The Fiesta Classic was a budget derivative of the MKIII model produced from 1995 to 1997 and thereby initially manufactured in tandem with the incoming MKIV Fiesta. It was powered by a 1.1 litre version of the company’s four-cylinder HC S engine that produced 50bhp (sufficient output to propel the car to 60mph in 16.3 seconds) and offered in three or five-door configuration.
