2008 Harley-Davidson Cross Bones
Only 5000 miles, with Stage 2 Screaming Eagle upgrade

‘MR07 HOG’ could almost pass for a brand new machine and, as the vendor says, is in ‘near perfect condition’ with just 5,000 miles to its name. As recently as last month it was treated to a service and new MOT courtesy of Chester Harley-Davidson. Due to lack of use, it also required attention to the innards of the fuel tank and a new pump. Welcome departures from standard include a Stage 2 Screaming Eagle upgrade and some Vance & Hines pipes. Stunning, complete with a great registration!
Harley offered the Cross Bones from 2008 to 2011. Although a member of its Softail line, the model displayed some of the qualities and characteristics of a vintage Hardtail, mixed with a cruiser personality. The padded sprung seat and wide footboards ensured a comfortable ride, while the lack of chrome was striking in itself and in keeping with the sinister name. The big 1584cc V-twin engine produced some 88 lb ft of torque as low as 2750rpm but a modest peak output of 75bhp. Most owners swapped the overly quiet standard exhaust for louder pipes.
