The Gold Cup Classic & Performance Car & Motorcycle Auction

  Lot 8

1972 Triumph Bonneville T120

Registration - YCE 27L

Chassis No. - GG60217

M.O.T. - Exempt

Odometer - 11,365

‘YCE 27L’ was first registered on June 21, 1973. Its black and grey livery is complemented by gold pin-striping and a black seat. It’s a matching-numbers bike that has been in the vendor’s care since 2017 and was recently recommissioned following a long spell in a private collection – the parts replaced include the head gasket, battery, grab rail and handlebars. The machine benefits from having a Boyer Bransden electronic ignition, while a recent top-end inspection suggests that the currently indicated mileage of 11,366 is genuine. The vendor informs us that the Bonnie is in ‘good running order’, and that he currently rates the twin-cylinder engine, four-speed gearbox, brightwork and electrics as ‘excellent’, and the frame, suspension, paintwork and cycle parts as ‘good’. The Triumph is being sold complete with a history file of old MOTs etc.

'A Buyer’s Premium applies to the Hammer Price of this Lot if your bid is successful, as per the following;  Motor Cars 12.5% + VAT (minimum £150 + VAT), Motorcycles and Bicycles 15% + VAT (minimum £100 + VAT); Registration Numbers 15% + VAT (minimum £50 + VAT); Automobilia 15% + VAT (minimum of £5 + VAT).'

Potential buyers should satisfy themselves with the description and condition of each lot prior to sale. Each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ as per the terms and conditions for the auction, buyers are asked to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out the service. Any disputes over descriptions will not be entertained.

Estimated at £4,000 - £5,000
