Spring 2021 Classics & Collectables Auction

  Lot 86

2000 Honda Prelude 2.0i

Chassis No. - JHMBB9240YC201203

Registraiton - W269 EEV

M.O.T. - June 2021

Odometer – 55,300

Then vendor of this attractive righthand drive fifth generation 2.0i Prelude describes it as ‘extremely well sorted, with virtually zero rust’. It has apparently recently benefited from a change of cam belt and fresh set of tyres. Its two-door bodywork is finished in a pleasing shade of deep metallic blue which is teamed with grey check interior trim. The 2-litre SOHC four-cylinder engine drives through a four-speed automatic gearbox. To date the Honda has had six owners who have amassed a relatively modest 55,300 miles between them. This starter classic is now being made available for somebody new to enjoy, and is offered complete with numerous receipts for work done over the years and what the vendor describes as a ‘very impressive MOT history’, as well as a current advisory-free test certificate that’s valid into June 22. A lot of classic car for the expected price.

The Prelude name originally belonged to Toyota, but Honda managed to wrest it from their rival in order to extend the musical theme applied to their range, that has included: Accord, Ballade, Concerto, Jazz and Quartet. The Prelude was loosely based on the front-engined front-wheel drive Accord. The first iteration was launched in 1978 and the model progressed through five generations before being discontinued in 2001.

In summary:

  • Benefits from a recent change of cam belt and tyres
  • Comes with a good history file, plus current and old MOTs
  • Just 55,300 miles from new
