An Auction of Classic and Performance Cars and Motorcycles

  Lot 9

Lot 9 - 1928 Royal Enfield 350

1928 Royal Enfield 350

Registration - WL 3613

Chassis No. - 16346

M.O.T. - Exempt

Previously owned by the chief engineer of a national gas business, this gorgeous 350cc early flat tank Royal Enfield has remained in its current ownership for the last 10 years. Its single-cylinder air-cooled engine drives through a three-speed manual gearbox that’s controlled by a tank mounted hand change. The black cycle parts and saddle are nicely complemented by the two-tone green fuel tank. ‘WL 3613’ is equipped with a pair of leather panniers, rear view mirror and bulb horn and is said by the vendor to be in ‘lovely running order and ready to attack the show seen’.

Founded in 1901, Royal Enfield is most famous for the design and original production of the Bullet, the longest surviving model in motorcycle history. It was in 1924 that the company produced its first four-stroke 350cc single, using a Prestwich Industries engine. These days the brand is in Indian hands and manufacturing a very successful mix of classic and contemporary products that are exported the world over.

In summary:

  • A lovingly presented early flat tank Enfield
  • Fully prepared and ready to attack the show scene
  • A well-equipped example
