Here we have a notably well-presented matching-numbers, oil-in-frame Bonnie with a good history, a bike the vendor describes as ‘looking as if it was fresh from the factory’. Finished in gold over white it was apparently fully restored in the past by a mechanic of famed motorcycle builder Len Vale-Onslow, and featured in the cavalcade at Vale-Onslow’s funeral. The ensuing owner was a Triumph enthusiast who displayed the machine on the Triumph Owner’s Club stand at the Stafford show. His tenure was followed by that of another marque aficionado before the Triumph was purchased by the vendor 12 months ago. It these days features such sensible upgrades as: Boyer electronic ignition, Morgo oil pump and pressure gauge, SRM oil pressure relief valve, paper element replaceable oil filter, LED headlamp and Avon Roadrider tyres. Apparently the frame, front mudguard, hubs and brake back plates have all been powder-coated in recent times. The vendor’s increasing need for a bike with push-button start means this lovely Triumph is now seeking a new home. The odometer currently stands at an unwarranted but totally credible 42,127 miles.
